The primary motivation for this website is to make publicly available a comprehensive database of reference standard image sets for objective and consistent evaluation of deformable image registration (DIR) spatial accuracy. Surface renderings and summary characteristics of the currently available cases are provided in the "Reference Data" tab. Investigators are encouraged to register (for free) on this website to download the reference data provided below. Note that you must provide your user password to access the available files.
Downloads are provided as a compressed ZIP file for each case. Each set of images is provided in Pinnacle TPS raw *.img format (Philips Medical Systems, Andover, MA). All images are 16-bit integer class. Reference coordinate information is provided in text file format. Each text file is associated with a single image volume, and contains a list of XYZ coordinate feature positions within the associated image. For each case, rows correspond to the same landmark feature. Details regarding the coordinate system, and the image1-image2 correspondence are available in PDF form via the "Format Document" link given here:

For all cases listed below, coordinate information is provided for a uniform sample of 300 of the total quantity of landmarks reported in Table 1. These points can be used to derive 300 individual measurments of DIR spatial accuracy for each case. Currently, the complete sets of landmark pairs are not available for download. For error assessment over all landmarks, investigators are free to submit DIR solutions, which we will evaluate to provide customized feedback for performance assessment.
Included with each case are 2 text files containing coordinate information for the reference landmarks on the extreme phase images (T00 and T50):

Additionally, coordinate information is provided for intermediate component phase images. For each case, additional text files are provided:
- "caseID_4D-75_T20_xyz.txt", etc.
These files contain a sample of 75 of the total quantity of landmarks for each case, propagated onto multiple phase images (T00 through T50).

The included functions require the MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox, and should be added to the MATLAB path prior to use.
